  • What does your username mean? PsychoticSaiyan09 - Psychotic being because I love characters that are slightly off kilter in sanity. Saiyan being my favorite race from my favorite anime, Dragon Ball Z. 09 stemming from the year that I created my account.

  • Describe yourself in three words. Nerd, artist, gamer

  • Are you left or right handed? Right

  • What is your favourite type of art to create? Anime

  • If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? 3D art. (Gaming models and what have you)

  • What was your first favourite?  SpotteD by hellwithin8024 Loved the Spots, the colors, and bein a fan of larger women, furs, as well as dragons I found her adorable.

  • What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Anime themed pieces

  • Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? :icontrinity-fate: I'm a man who loves bigger, curvey girls; my favorite area of said curvey gals, aside from the pretty face, is the plush plump rump. Trinity is easily my favorite person to capture the beautiful bum I crave and love so, and when it comes to the faces he kicks ass too, always making his characters adorable and pleasing to the eye. Every character he crafts looks like they burst with personality, and honestly I'd love to watch them in a show or play as any one of them in a game; does that make me sound like a nerd? I feel like it does...meh oh well. Other contenders for this medal of badonk are :iconkazecat: and :icongillpanda: who not only make fantastic females but also don't skimp in crankin out some well crafted gents as well, and :iconjaykuma: who I swear crafts the bodies of their characters from the plushest of marshmallows. Alas I'm forced to pick only one so I'll gladly cling to Trinity.

  • If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? :iconmercurythewerewulff: He's a close buddy of mine, and is the one who became my first friend when entering the furry community, which I'm proud to be a part of.

  • How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? :iconmercurythewerewulff: *For reasons mentioned above*

  • What are your preferred tools to create art? Pencils and paper. Old school ftw yo.

  • What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? In my room with a video game, anime/show of another kind, or movie in front of me. I always see stuff that makes me go, "Oh wow that's cool! I'd love to see how I would have done that myself!" and so I try to make it myself, with varying degrees of success.

  • What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? Creating my own avatar. Avatar by PsychoticSaiyan09 I worked for hours on the sprite, tweaking it to serve my puproses on each individual frame, finally putting it all together in a .gif builder and watching the magic work for me. I was incredibly proud of it.

TIS I! NEVER FEAR SIMON BELMONT IS HERE!!!

On Halloween two years back I did something my childhood self had never managed to do: I reached, and defeated that bastard of a final boss Dracula from the first Castlevania. It was a big moment for my gaming career as I'd strived to kill that fuck since I was a little kid just getting into games. The sequel, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest had never caught my eye til I became rather engrossed in the internet. I saw a couple videos on it and was disappointed in it, but thanks to two videos I became increasingly eager to own and beat the game. The two videos in question are Sequelitis: Castlevania 1 vs Castlevania 2 courtesy of Egoraptor, and Daikatana review (Part 1 & 2) by JonTron. Egoraptor pointed out the problems with C2:SQ in such a manner I was both in stitches and intrigued; while JonTron's review of Daikatana was one of the videos that first spawned my love/hate developing relationship with shitty games. I managed to find of ROM of the game easily enough and gave it a shot. It was...well what can be said that hasn't been said. It's ugly, it's repetitive, it's confusing, and you've heard this all before. Even with all of these flaws however, I still wanted to press onward, if only for the sake of completion. I decided however that I enjoyed the game, despite it's shortcomings, enough to buy it on the 3DS Virtual Console. I nabbed it and set about beating the damn thing.

Well, I've finally done it. This morning I walked the steps of Dracula's castle and rebuilt the bastard, only to immediately set him on fire and destroy him...yeah...pretty fucking underwhelming. That kinda sums up this whole game really; underwhelming. Regardless, I had quick-saved right before Dracula, so I went in a second time to battle him with a standard weapon and a method I'd never seen used. I equipped my Gold Dagger and started a combo of jumping, Daggers, and whipping; and ya know what? IT KILLED HIM EVEN FUCKING FASTER!!! Jesus Dracula's a fucking bitch in this game!!!

I gotta say, while I had fun with this game, it is EASILY the worst Castlevania game out of the original 4, and that is without question. I had to use a fuckin walkthrough to find some of this shit out for God's sake. I mean COME ON! Some of the NPCs fucking LIE TO YOU!!! Now, I get that that makes sense in the game's context storywise, but in terms of gameplay, where the townsfolk are the only source of easy info, that's just dickish design.

I really don't hate this game, but I can't say I like it a lot either, nor will I be revisiting it as much as other entries. I originally wanted to beat this game on Halloween as some sort of tradition bullshit, but that didn't work and I didn't really care given the game in question. So...yeah...

This morning I actually did it!!! I never thought I could, but I did!!! I beat Castlevania!!! And on Halloween none the less!!!

I've never beaten this game before, so this is epic for me. I've tried hundreds of times but I've never been successful in my attempts. Today however, I persevered and was met with success! I was ecstatic for at least three hours. Hell, it motivated me all day and gave me a sense of accomplishment. I just felt like I've had to tell everyone I know, and that includes all of you guys on DA!!! Join me in my joy!!!

Anyway, if you guys still haven't checked out my Sonic reviews from my last journal, be sure to give em a look if you're interested. I really wanna get some feedback and spark some conversations. :3

Time to chalk this up with Symphony of the Night as Castlevania games I've beaten...I'M OFF TO DECIMATE SIMON'S QUEST!!! Wish me luck my brethren.

With that I'm out. Remember guys, don't step in nothin' you can't wipe off. ^^
